Large fire breaks out at construction site in Utah
LEHI, Utah (CBS, KYMA) - A large fire broke out at a construction site in a Salt Lake City suburb Sunday, sending a huge smoke plume into the sky, footage shows.
According to news outlets, the fire broke out near Point of the Mountain and Interstate 15. Smoke from the fire was visible on a Utah Department of Transportation live camera.
Close-up footage shows the fire engulfing an apartment complex that was under construction.
A spokesperson told the Salt Lake Tribune that it was a four-story building, and no one was believed to be inside.
Video taken by @UteManJoe shows dark smoke billowing from the site of the fire in the Lehi-Draper area of Utah County.
"Massive fire in Lehi! Hopefully no one is hurt," he wrote in a post on X.
