Tracking warm and mild temperatures for the rest of the week

Daytime highs will be stay in the upper 80s, which is slightly above average. However, the 90s is expected to return early next week along with some clouds.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Today is the coolest day we've felt in over a week with daytime highs in the mid-80s. Even though this is slightly warmer than normal, at least we're away from the 90s for now.

Happy National Nacho Day! Our weather will be great to enjoy some nachos at your favorite restaurant and on the patio this evening.

Dry and warm weather will prevail through the middle of next week for the Desert Southwest. We do have another small warming trend into early next week.

Plenty of sunshine with warm conditions will be sticking around through the weekend. More clouds will move in early next along with 90-degree afternoons.

Tracking a nice cooldown late next week where we will have temperatures in the low 80s.

LOOKING AHEAD: With the high moisture creating an atmospheric river in the Pacific Northwest, a lower pressure system may bring us some above-normal rainfall by the middle of the month.

This is still too far out and still has lots of uncertainties, but I will keep tracking and bring more updates.
