Tracking winds on this Wednesday
We have gusty winds taking over today, with calmer and seasonable temperatures expected for Thursday. We also have warmer temperatures back for the weekend.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Southwest corner of Imperial County until 5 a.m. Thursday for strong west winds and gusts up to 45 MPH.

Breezy and windy conditions will continue through early tomorrow morning. We will have winds coming from the west and north west with gusts between 20-35 MPH. Stronger winds and dust will favor further west.
Lighter winds are expected for our Thursday and the rest of the week.

The Pink Takeover will be going on at Wheezy's until 10 p.m. tonight. This is a fundraiser to raise money for Bridget's Gift.
If you are heading out for dinner we will stay breezy with cool temperatures with us through tonight. It would be a great idea to have a sweater and jacket as the winds will make it feel a little chilly.

A lower pressure system will continue move through the Desert Southwest, which will keep our temperatures nice and seasonable through Thursday.

We will have lighter winds and plenty of sunshine for the rest of the week. Temperatures will trend around average levels through Thursday, and the 90s will return later this week and into the weekend.
Don't forget Bridget's Gift concert is at Cocopah Casino this Saturday night at 7 pm. Tickets are still available.

LOOKING AHEAD: Our latest temperature outlook is showing dark oranges on the map for the Desert Southwest, that indicates we will be having slightly to above normal temperatures late next week.
