Weekend brings warmer temps as conditions remain nice

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Dry and calm weather is set to continue across the region this weekend, with temperatures warming back to normal after a cooler stretch earlier this week.

Highs will climb into the mid-to upper-80s across the lower deserts, including Yuma, while overnight lows stay comfortable in the upper-50s to mid-60s.

Expect mostly sunny skies with little to no chance of rain through Sunday.

By early next week, temperatures will edge up toward the 90-degree mark before a weak weather system moves through the region around Tuesday night into Wednesday.

That system could bring a few light showers, mainly over Arizona's higher terrain east of Yuma County, but most areas are expected to remain dry.

After the system passes, temperatures should dip back into the mid-80s by midweek, with more typical fall conditions returning across the Southwest.

So, for now enjoy the sunshine, stay hydrated, and keep the jackets handy for those cooler desert mornings.
