Tracking warmer temperatures for the weekend

Temperatures are going to be warming up to near normal levels for the weekend and early next week. We could see daytime highs in the 90s as early as Sunday.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Friday, it's been a warm day with highs in the mid-80s. This afternoon is the warmest day of the week so far, but it is still cooler than normal.

Today is the first day of the Yuma Fall Fest! If you are heading to the Fall Fest this evening, we will have clear skies, light winds, and cool temperatures. I recommend bringing a sweater or jacket for the later nighttime hours.

Overnight lows will eventually cool down into the upper 50s and low 60s by Saturday morning.

As a lower-pressure system continues to shift more east, we will continue to have dry and quiet weather, but it will allow our temperatures to warm-up through the weekend.

Thankfully, this warm-up won't be too bad, and we will still be near our seasonal averages for late mid-October.

Plenty of sunshine will be sticking with us with highs warming to the 90s by Sunday, which is pretty seasonable for this time of year. It's still going to be great and pleasant weather for the Fall Fest this weekend. There are also a lot of fun fall events and activities this weekend too, so make sure to check out our KYMA Events Page.

Next week we will have warm afternoons and cool overnights all next week. Overall, weather conditions are still looking nice even for next week.

HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN: We are 14 days away until it's Halloween as of today. Hopefully you have your costumes ready!
