Slight rise in temperatures begins week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Current temperatures this Sunday afternoon are sitting in the high-80s to low-90s across the Desert Southwest.

On Monday, we will see an increase by a couple degrees at peak temperatures. Salton City and Dateland are expected to see the highest temperatures at 94 °F, and Ocotillo registering the lowest maximum temperature at 89 °F.

Wind gusts will pick up more in the Imperial Valley to begin the work week with highs getting to 14 mph. Yuma County will remain in the single digits over the course of the next 48 hours.

Clouds will stay out of the region, bringing plenty of sunshine.
