Extreme Heat Warning continues, chances of rain and high wind throughout weekend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Extreme Heat Warning that has taken over the Desert Southwest, once again, is in effect currently, and will remain intact through the weekend.

Temperatures will remain four-to-seven degrees above normal, according to the National Weather Service.

To makes matters worse, the National Weather Service states that the heat will be paired with humidity this weekend, peaking at 50%.

Along with the heat and humidity, there's chances of an excess of 35 mph winds Saturday night and Sunday during the day, with 10% chance of wind gusts hitting 58 mph across Yuma County Sunday

Isolated showers of rain are at a less than 15% chance Saturday evening but may return over the next several days with a possibility to include thunderstorms.

Stay on the look out for clouds moving through Yuma County and the Imperial Valley.
