Friendly’s recalls ice cream over mislabeled packages

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Friendly's Ice Cream has issued a recall after a labeling mistake led to some undeclared allergens.

More than 300 tubs of ice cream were packaged in Vanilla Bean containers, but with Cookies & Cream lids.

The mismatch means some people with soy and wheat allergies could be exposed to the unlisted ingredients, possibly leading to severe and threatening reactions.

The affected cartons were distributed in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and no illnesses have been reported.
