Man arrested after driving his vehicle into a post office in California

SAN JOSE, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A man drove his vehicle into a California post office early Sunday morning, causing the building to go up in flames.

Police were called to the scene around 2:30 a.m. Pacific.

No injuries were reported, but the fire damaged the post office building, particularly the area where the vehicle entered.

The fire was knocked down 90 minutes after it was reported, but not before burning some mail, according to fire officials.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 44-year-old Richard Tillman.

Tillman is the younger brother of Pat Tillman, a San Jose native and NFL star who was killed while serving as an Army Ranger in Afghanistan.

Investigators say they do not believe the crash was an accident. They believe it was intentional.

Tillman is in jail without bail accused of arson.
