At least one person injured in shooting near Paycom Center

OKLAHOMA CITY (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - At least one person was injured following a shooting at Scissortail park in Oklahoma City shortly after the Thunder won the NBA finals.

Many in the area ran for cover as shots rang out.

The shooting happened Sunday at around 10:30 p.m. Central on the east side of Scissortail Park, just across the street from the Paycom Center.

Police believe the gunfire followed a fight and say it does not appear to be connected to the Thunder game.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of Sunday night, one person has been detained, but no arrests have been made.
