Holtville U10 Softball make history with District Championship Win

HOLTVILLE, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A historic night unfolded on the diamond Thursday as the Holtville U10 girls softball team defeated Calipatria 17-10, capturing the first-ever District 22 Championship in Imperial Valley history.

The game featured two local powerhouses lighting up the scoreboard, but it was Holtville who maintained control from the early innings, never relinquishing their lead en route to the milestone win.

With the victory, Holtville not only made history but also punched their ticket to the state tournament, set for July 1 in Westminster, California.

Both teams showcased grit and determination, but it was Holtville's night, and a night the Valley won't soon forget.

Congratulations to the Holtville U10 girls softball team, your 2025 District 22 champions.
