One dead, 11 injured in early morning shooting in Indiana
ELKHART, Ind. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - One person is dead and 11 others are injured after a shooting in Elkhart, Indiana early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the scene just after 1:00 a.m. Eastern following reports of shots fired. They quickly learned a dozen people had been shot and believe multiple people fired shots during the incident.
One of the victims died while other were treated for their injuries and released from the hospital. However, it's unclear how many are still in the hospital.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.
