Tracking warmer and drier days on the way

Finally, we have drier conditions starting to move back in on Thursday. However, the drier conditions will come with warmer and above-normal temperatures.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - It's another day with this same humidity. Dew points will remain in the low to upper 50s through tonight.

It will become comfortably drier by Thursday afternoon as dew points will start to drop into the 40s.

As this lower pressure system that has been steering in moisture will continue to exit, which will allow a warming and drying trend to move in.

A return to a more typical June weather pattern is expected by the latter half of the week with seasonably dry and hot conditions.

There is potential for temperatures to peak near 110 degrees across the Desert Southwest by late this weekend into early next week.
