More Americans are now moving to bigger cities

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - America's major cities continue to grow, reversing pandemic area population declines.

According to the Census Bureau data, population rose in most big cities, with New York, Houston, and Los Angeles adding the most people.

Data shows 94% of the biggest cities grew during the 12-month period ending in June of last year. The nation's total population increased by 1%. That's the biggest annual increase of almost 25 years.

Experts believe the urban recovery is mostly driven by immigration.
