Tracking cooler temps, lighter winds, and shower potential

A low-pressure system will affect the Desert Southwest through at least Tuesday leading to cooler than normal temperatures and possible rain chances. Tracking a big warm-up on the way.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - An unseasonably cool and wet low-pressure system will affect the
Desert Southwest through at least Tuesday leading to cooler than normal temperatures and possible rain chances.

Happy Cinco De Mayo! We will have lighter winds, with cooler and chillier temperatures for this evening. Plus, I am watching for shower potential as well.

Periods of scattered showers are expected today and tonight before more activity will favor more east on Tuesday.

High temperatures will be mainly in the 70s into Tuesday before quickly warming during the latter half of the week and reaching around 100 degrees by Friday and low 100s this weekend.
