Judge weighs in on library and museum cuts

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - An injunction against President Donald Trump's order against slashing the Institute of Museum and Library Services appears to be very likely.

A Washington, D.C. federal judge said he's "inclined to grant a temporary restraining order."

This decision is also based on a lawsuit filed by the American Library Association and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employment.

Both groups say that they rely on this institute for funding. They argue that President Trump's order seeking to dismantle it will violate its mandated requirements by Congress.

The Justice Department tried to argue that the court could not take action about future potential harms.
