President Trump defends Obamacare before the Supreme Court

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - This may not have seemed possible during President Donald Trump's first term, but the Justice Department is now defending the Affordable Care Act before the Supreme Court.

This is quite a contrast from the president's first term when his administration repeatedly tried to appeal the law.

The law mandates that certain preventative services are covered for patients.

Supreme Court Justices will consider the legality of certain no cost sharing coverage mandates.

A government task force issues the recommendations, but the people suing argue that the mandates are unconstitutional because of the recommendations coming from an independent task force that the Senate did not confirm.
