At least three injured in Dallas school shooting

DALLAS (CBS, KYMA/KECY) - Dallas police responded Tuesday afternoon to a shooting at Wilmer-Hutchins High School, where safety protocols were in place and families were urged to stay away from the campus as students were being evacuated.

Authorities confirmed at 2:20 p.m. Central there was no active threat and that the school campus had been secured.

According to law enforcement sources who spoke with CBS News Texas, a student is wanted after allegedly firing a gun inside the school campus.

There could be at least three victims with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening. The Dallas Police Department has not officially confirmed those details.

Police have confirmed that officers responded to a shooting incident at the school and that safety protocols were in place.

According to 911 dispatch records, the call came in just before 1:10 p.m. Central. The school is located in the area of Langdon Road, near JJ Lemmon Road.

Aerial images showed multiple agencies surrounding the school, including EMS and Dallas police. ATF agents are also responding. Students were also seen leaving the campus and walking toward the school's stadium.

There has been no official word on the suspect's identity or further details about the shooting.
