Arizona Western College custodian nationally recognized

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A custodian at Arizona Western College (AWC) is getting national recognition and is now in the running for a major award.

Jennifer Aitken has been a familiar face at AWC for five years. Now, she's one of ten national finalists for the 2025 Cintas Custodian of the Year award.

Aitken says no matter what she does, she does it do the best of her ability.

"No matter if it's in the classroom, if it's on the field, if it's on the court. No matter what you desire to do. Do it to the best of your abilities and make sure that your work speaks for itself," Aitken expressed.

Public voting will decide the winner of the $10,000 prize.
