YFD responds to mobile home fire, no injuries reported

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Fire Department (YFD) responded to a mobile home fire during the overnight hours of Monday morning.

In a press release, the incident happened shortly after midnight in the area of S. Fifth Avenue and W. 12th Street.

YFD says Yuma Batallion 1 was the first to arrive and they found "a fully involved mobile home on fire," with Yuma Engine 1 assigned to attack the fire and "began applying water to the fire."

YFD says the fire was quickly under control and "contained to the trailer of origin." They also say the people inside the mobile home evacuated prior to their arrival and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
