Law school applications increase nationwide
(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - Law schools are seeing a surge in applications nationwide.
More than 64,000 people are applying this year, that's a 20% increase all across 200 schools according to the Wall Street Journal.
The McGeorge School of Law in California has seen a 25% increase in applications. Georgetown University's law school has 14,000 applications for just 650 spots.
Some students say political climate is the reason why they are chasing a law degree now.
Others see it as a more reliable career amid tech and government layoffs.
