U.S.A.F. F-16 Viper Demo Team touches down in Yuma
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The 2025 Yuma Airshow is preparing for liftoff.
The United States Air Force's F-16 Viper Demo Team just touched down in Yuma on Wednesday.
The F-16 is one of our military's most advanced multi-role fighter jets.
The single-seater aircraft can maneuver through any weather condition, combat enemy aircraft, and fly 500 miles and return with only one tank of fuel.
The pilot of the jet shares what locals can expect to see from the Viper Demo Team at this weekends airshow.
"To be able to operate this airplane and burn up all the gas that it holds in about 13 minutes is a real testament to the technical capabilities… Full up 9 Gs just shy of the speed of sound and show the American people here in Arizona what we can do," says Maj. Taylor Hiester, the Commander & Pilot of the American F-16 Demo Team.
The Airshow takes place this Saturday at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
The show starts at 10:30 a.m. with gates opening at 9:00 a.m. and is free to attend.
