Eight injured after driver rams into car dealership in California

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Several customers and employees were injured Saturday after a driver crashed into an Inglewood, California, car dealership following a dispute.

Police responded to the call of the crash just after 2:00 p.m. at a Carmax located in the area of S. La Cienega Boulevard and W. Olive Street.

According to the Inglewood Police Department (IPD), a customer exited the building following a dispute and drove into the Carmax.

Authorities say the incident left eight people injured. Six of those injuries were minor and the other two were critical.

The driver fled the crash and drove to the lapd academy nearby, where he turned himself in.

According to IPD, the crash is being investigated as an intentional act.
