Man found dead in car crash in Open Desert Area near Plaster City

IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - A man was found dead in a car crash in the Open Desert Area near Plaster City, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP).

CHP's investigation says that on March 4, at about 11:04 a.m., a 49-year-old man was driving a Speed El Diablo near Plaster City.

The driver overturned and hit the ground in the Open Desert and was found, being declared dead on scene.

The reason for the crash is under investigation.

CHP says the man was found to be properly restrained at the time of the crash.
