2 shootings in Birmingham kill 7 people, including young child, Alabama police say

Authorities in Alabama say four people died in a shooting at a Birmingham nightclub late Saturday, while an earlier shooting outside a home killed three people, including a young child. Police say in the nightclub shooting, one man was found dead on a sidewalk near the club and two women were killed inside. A second man was pronounced dead at a hospital where at least nine additional victims were being treated. Investigators believe at least one suspect fired shots into the nightclub from the street. Separately, police found a man, woman and small boy dead inside a car. Each had fatal gunshot wounds in what police believe was a targeted shooting.
