One person dead following Highway 95 car crash
UPDATE (2 PM) - The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) identified the man who died in a two-vehicle car crash as 43-year-old Jose Escobar.
Deputies received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning in the area of Highway 95 and Avenue 3 1/2 E.
A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was driving eastbound on Highway 95 when it crossed the centerline into westbound traffic for unknown reasons.
Deputies said the Chevrolet Silverado crashed into a 2015 Chrysler 200 driving westbound on Highway 95.
YCSO said the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado identified as Jose Escobar was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chrysler was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, said YCSO.
The next of kin notification has been made and this case is under investigation.
Deputies said alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - One person is dead following a crash on Highway 95 Wednesday morning between, Avenues 3E and 4E.
Highway 95 has been closed now for several hours for both eastbound and westbound traffic, and the Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) is still at the scene investigating the crash.
Two vehicles were involved, a truck and what was reported to be a smaller vehicle, and the identity of the victim has not been identified.
