Yuma boys basketball stays unbeaten, takes down Gila Ridge 75-55

The Criminals found themselves down early, but rallied back in the second half to beat their Yuma County rival

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Yuma boys basketball (8-0) beat Gila Ridge (4-15) at home 75-55 on Monday night.

It initially looked like the Criminals would be on upset watch, as they were down by as much as nine points in the first quarter.

That quarter would end with the Hawks up by five.

However, Yuma would make things click in the second, finishing the half up 31-23.

The Crims wouldn't look back after that, outscoring Gila Ridge 44-32 in the second half to stay undefeated.

Yuma will get a chance to continue their perfect start on Jan 11, when they head on the road to take on Moon Valley.

As for Gila Ridge, they currently find themselves on a two-game losing streak, which they'll look to snap on Jan 11 at home against Alhambra.
