WEATHER ALERT: Tracking rain and thunderstorms
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - SEVERE Weather for Thursday night through Saturday morning bringing widespread rainfall and thunderstorms to the Desert Southwest.
Flooding will be an impact with these storms, which will lead to travel concerns before the holiday weekend.
A Flood WATCH is NOW into effect for the entire Desert Southwest until 1 a.m. (MST) Saturday for Yuma County, which is midnight (PST) for Imperial County.
A large low-pressure system will be impacting the region bringing in plenty of moisture for ongoing showers to continue throughout the day.
Moderate and heavy rainfall will be likely on and off through out the day with chances for thunderstorms to develop.
Lingering scattered showers are possible to persist early Saturday morning.

I also included both San Luis Rio Colorado and Mexicali due to their significant totals outside our counties
Skies will clear through the weekend, with highs in the mid and upper 60s and drier conditions for Christmas day.
