Sacramento County deputy hospitalized due to chemical exposure

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A Sacramento County deputy was sent to the hospital on Tuesday after being exposed to a chemical.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office (SCSO), the exposure happened at its central station on 65th Street, off of Florin Road.

Details were not released on what the chemical was and what the extent of the deputy's injuries were, but the deputy is said to be in stable condition.

No further information has been released.
