YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Paramedics take one woman to the hospital after her car smashed into a truck in southern Yuma County.

Somerton Cocopah Fire and Rural Metro Fire Departments were called to Avenue B and County 18th Street around 8:15 Thursday morning. Firefighters say they arrived to find a Nissan and a Ford pickup damaged in and near the intersection.

Witnesses say the Nissan was stopped at the intersection waiting to make a left turn. They say the driver of the Nissan turned into the Ford, hitting it's front passenger side.

The driver of the truck didn't get hurt. The woman driving the Nissan complained of chest pain and bruising to her face. Paramedics took her to the hospital.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
