Nine people shot, Ohio police investigating

CLEVELAND, Ohio (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - In Ohio, at least nine people were shot in downtown Cleveland early Sunday night.

Police said the shooting happened at around 2:30am Eastern Time, in the city's Warehouse District.

Preliminary information indicates that a suspect opened fire toward a group of people and then fled the scene. All nine victims were taken to the hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Police said they are currently reviewing evidence, including surveillance video as well as interviewing the victims in the ongoing investigation.
