Inflation impacts local food bank

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Inflation continues to rise and the Yuma Community Food Bank is having a difficult time keeping the shelves stocked up for those in need.

According to the Government Accountability Office, normally food prices increase around two percent, but from 2021 to 2022 it has increased a whopping 11 percent.

Each dollar feeds 11 people in Yuma.

Some other ways you can give back is by donating your time and food to the Yuma Community Food Bank.

You can donate at www.yumafoodbank.org/donate.html.
