Coronavirus in Sonora: The latest numbers

HERMOSILLO, Sonora (KYMA, KECY)-11,448 people have recovered from the virus in Sonora, according to health officials.

Since March 16, 15,962 have tested positive for the coronavirus with a death toll of 1,540. On Wednesday, officials confirmed 286 new coronavirus cases along with 16 new deaths.

Hermosillo has led the state for the past three months, followed by Cajeme. 16 of the new case were reported in San Luis Rio Colorado, followed by one death.

Health officials say 1,398 patients remain hospitalized; 1,002 in serious condition.
