Crash near Dateland temporarily closes I-8

All lanes have reopened on Interstate 8 westbound after a crash near Dateland at milepost 64, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT).

ORIGINAL:

DATELAND, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Interstate 8 westbound near Dateland remains closed after a crash, but traffic is currently using a detour.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) says there is no estimated time to reopen the highway.

ADOT says traffic is exiting at milepost 64, traveling on the frontage road and re-entering at milepost 56.

Drivers are encouraged to use State Route 85 northbound to Interstate 10 westbound.
