Tracking scattered showers and continued humidity

Weather Authority / KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After tracking some overnight showers into early Sunday morning, we are still expected to see rainfall in the Desert Southwest as we head into the work week.

Expect more rainfall on Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. We should see scattered showers overnight, wrapping up Monday morning. I'm tracking a decent amount of cloud coverage as well over the next few days.

During the rest of the work week, we will still see some moisture and humidity in our region. We are tracking 20-30% chances for rain on Thursday, Friday, and next Saturday as well.

Temperatures are still sitting in the triple-digits. For Sunday, we're tracking a high of 106°F in Yuma and 108°F in El Centro. Into Monday, we will see similar highs across the region. Tracking at 105°F in Yuma and 106° in El Centro.

After seeing a minuscule drop in temperature on Monday, we could see potential Extreme Heat Watches or Warnings on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are tracking highs to get back above 110°F in both Yuma and Imperial Counties.

To our wind gusts over the next few days. Sunday evening, gusts are tracking to top out at 25 miles per hour in both counties. By 8:00 a.m. on Monday, expect gusts to calm down. Sitting in the 12-14 miles per hour range in Yuma County. While Imperial County is tracking in the 7-12 miles per hour range.
