Devastating flooding in parts of Marin County, California

MILL VALLEY, Calif. (NBC, KYMA) - High water blocked streets for a second day in Marin County, California.

In Southern California, the extremely high "King tides" reached eight feet Monday, flooding streets and water front shops.

The rising water has inundated homes in coastal communities, creating headaches for many residents. People living here know the area often gets hit hard by King Tides, but they may expect it later in the year usually November through February.

Residents say the tidal flooding seems to be happening earlier and more often.
