News 11 Weather Authority: Near normal Wednesday

June 9th, 2021

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The lingering effects of our latest disturbance may be the last we feel for some time to come.

Our near normal conditions should be a little less hot for Thursday, with the ongoing presence of the upper level disturbance near the Pacific Northwest.

Expect daytime highs to land in the high 90s on Thursday, with some breeziness throughout our viewing area.

By the time we reach the coming weekend, it will be the start of a temperature surge that will eventually reach the range of 114 to 119 degrees by next week.

The National Weather Service is already set to enact an Excessive Heat Watch for our entire area as a result, from Monday to Friday of next week.
