News 11 Weather Authority: 100s return

May 12th, 2021

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The latest high pressure system to come out of the West continues to have it's heating effect on our area.

Daytime highs have increased into the high 90s and low 100s.

Yuma and El Centro have both reached the triple digit mark on this Wednesday.

Expect the hotter than normal highs to continue through the rest of the week, with the continuation of the low 100 degree highs.

A disturbance from the North is expected to bring wind and lower temps to our area by the upcoming weekend.

By that time, daytime highs should scale back into the 90s with wind gusts ranging from 15-25 miles per hour.
