A calm and pleasant start to the week

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Over the weekend a thunderstorm made its way to portions of the Desert Southwest bringing lots of lightning and some measurable rain for some areas in the Yuma counties.

Check out the latest rain totals from Saturday's storm.

To kick off the week, we are much calmer and clearer with temperatures staying near seasonal.

Thankfully dew points will be much drier, however, we still have lingering moisture and clouds where storms chances are possible.

Chances for storms are low, but can't rule out the potential for the lower deserts.

A slight warm-up will arrive later this week where highs will reach mid to upper 90s.

The start of next week is when cooler temperatures and greater storm chances is expected to arrive.
