Group of migrants arrested after pursuit, one found to have previous conviction

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A post to U.S. Border Patrol's social media says agents pursued and arrested a suspect who was discovered to be a gang member.

One early morning, camera footage captured several migrants go into a van near County 12 and Levee Road.

Agents had to pursue the van but the vehicle eventually stopped when pounding was heard from the back.

16 migrants were rescued from the cargo area and one attempted to flee the area.

The migrant was identified as 27-year-old Osvaldo Reyes Vidal who was previously convicted for armed robbery and for being a member of the Sureños street gang.
