Yuma man arrested for January home break-in and sexual assault

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After some investigation, Yuma police put a man behind bars for allegedly breaking into a woman's home and sexually assaulting her.

Police responded back on Sunday, January 23, 2022 to the house on East 32nd Street for an intruder that committed a sex crime. 

The suspect broke into the house, committed a sexual assault on a female victim, then fled the scene, according to YPD.

Investigations led to the 26-year-old man.

A search warrant was issued for his house where police recovered evidence that linked the suspect to the crime. 

He was booked late last night for sexual assault, burglary and criminal trespassing.
