Former Trump aide sentenced to 45 days

Rick Gates has sentenced to 45 days behind bars and 3 years probation by a federal judge on Tuesday morning.

Known as one of the most significant former campaign advisors for President Trump also known for flipping on Trump during the Muller Investigation.

He agreed to plead guilty to related charges of conspiracy and lying to investigators in February 2018.

He also agreed to cooperate with Muller's team and give key information to Paul Mannefort and Trump's actions in 2016 during the height of the Russia investigations.

Gates will also pay a $20,000 fine and fulfill 300 hours of community service.

He will be allowed to serve his sentence on weekends during his 3 years of probation.
