Love Brigade of Yuma spreading message of positivity

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- If you were driving down 4th Avenue Sunday,  you might notice something different.

The Love brigade of Yuma sharing one special message with their posters.

Jeremiah Hensel, Co-founder of the Love Brigade of Yuma said, "There's a lot of negativity that's going on in the world. And for people to just be able to come by you know you're spreading that love. They're leaving here with a good feeling, a smile."

The goal is to spread positivity and kindness.

"What happens here is going to carry on and hopefully they're nice to somebody else afterward. And that's it, it's very simple. No real agenda."

It began as an art project but since then many have thanked the group for their small gesture.

Hensel added, "Turns out it was a trauma nurse. Who had told us she had the worst month of her life. And she just needed somebody to hug. Some human contact."

Louise Mackerell, a member of the group hopes their cause will create a positive ripple effect.

"It's one of the best things that I love to do is get out of myself and enjoy pointing to someone in traffic and getting them to honk their horn or to smile. And to know that I'm noticing them like they are noticing me. And it's a mutual symbiotic relationship of hey let's have a good day," said Mackerell.

Anyone who wants to join the Love Brigade of Yuma can contact the group on their social media page on Facebook.
