Disney faces lawsuit over privacy concerns at California theme parks

(NBC, KYMA) - Disney is facing a new lawsuit over privacy concerns at its California theme parks.

A class-action lawsuit, filed Friday, accuses Disney of improperly using facial recognition technology at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

The suit claims visitors are not adequately informed about the technology or the sensitive biometric data allegedly being collected while inside the parks.

The lawsuit seeks $5 million in damages on behalf of guests who claim they were subjected to facial recognition without their knowledge or consent.
