California hospital staff delivers 10 sets of twins

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - The stork working at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's in Los Angeles deserves a raise.

That's because not one, not two, not three, but ten sets of twins have been delivered recently at the medical facility, and are being cared for in the NICU.

The staff says they are used to dealing with multiples, but ten sets is an awful lot and pretty special.

The twins' birth weights ranged from just under two pounds, up to six pounds, and most are double boys. An assistant nurse manager says having so many twins is "keeping us on our toes."

As for the parents, they say its great to have other twin parents to talk to, and many say they plan to stay in touch.

One of the nurses in the NICU, who is a twin herself, said, "Perhaps next year, at this time, we'll have a reunion of 20 one-year-olds."
