19 people injured in California inmate bus crash

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - More than a dozen people were hurt in a crash involving a prisoner transport bus Friday morning in Sacramento.

Investigators say it appears a car ran a red light and collided with the bus right in front of the courthouse.

A doctor was brought to the scene to assess the 23 people on board.

At least 19 passengers complained of injuries. Three were taken to the hospital.
