Agents find over $1.7M of illegal drugs during vehicle stop in Blythe

BLYTHE, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - US Border Patrol Yuma sector says agents were able to the attempted smuggling of illegal drugs.

On Wednesday, Blythe Station agents stopped a BMW sedan on Interstate 10 and found over $1.7 million worth of illegal drugs.

Within the sedan were almost 50 pounds of methamphetamine, over six pounds of cocaine, 46 pounds of fentanyl pills and 14 pounds of heroin.

The 19-year-old driver was then arrested.
