VIDEO: Gas prices across the country coming back down

(NBC) - Gas prices across the country are coming back down, according to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular gas stands at $4.72 today.

That's down from the record high of $5.01 per gallon set on June 14th.

The fall in gas prices is due largely to the drop in oil prices.

Brent crude oil prices have fallen about $10-dollars per barrel since July 4, currently hovering around $104 per barrel.
