60-year-old under home quarantine

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona health officials say a patient with coronavirus continues to recover under a home quarantine.

Maricopa County Health says the person remained in stable condition Wednesday. To date, none of the people who've had close contact with this person show any signs of illness. Most of them have passed the 14-day monitoring period without displaying any symptoms.

Health officials say the patient is under 60 years old. They say the person has ties to Arizona State University. Beyond that, they're releasing no information on the patient.

Arizona's first, and so far only, case of coronavirus was reported on January 26. The illness has sickened more than 76,000 people in China. More than a thousand cases have been reported around the world. The virus has killed more than 2,100 people, all of them in China.
