SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - If you're in the market for a job, the city of San Luis and the U.S. Census Bureau may have the opportunity you're looking for.

San Luis and the Census Bureau will hold a hiring event next week to recruit people to inform the public about the importance of the census. It's a chance to earn some extra money while doing something positive for the community.

Computers will be set up at San Luis City Hall to allow people to come and apply. Census Bureau representatives will be on hand to provide more information about open positions. They'll also help people with the online application process.

Applicants must be 18-years or older. You'll need the following information:

  • Social Security number
  • Home address (physical and mailing)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Date and place of birth

The hiring event is scheduled for January 22, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. It will be held in the San Luis City Hall multi-purpose room at 1090 E. Union Street.

If you can't make it in person, you can still apply online at www.2020census.gov/jobs.
